This has increased attention on the need for digital solutions to support remote learning and online engagement. Globally, including in Tanzania, organizations’ ability to adopt and adapt to virtual activity have revealed major gaps in the learning opportunities available to different people. Consistent connection via online platforms requires reliable internet connection, access to devices like a computer or mobile phone, and skills for utilizing them effectively. In Tanzania, access to, control over, and use of ICT can all be affected by your geographic, economic, and social circumstances.

In order to continue to deliver Youth Lead program activities should rolling closures continue, and support Don Bosco to better leverage ICT solutions to deliver on its core mandate in the future, IYF is conducting a digital landscape analysis and needs assessment for Don Bosco students and staff enrolled in Don Bosco’s vocational training centers (VTCs) in Dar es Salaam (Oysterbay), Dodoma and Iringa which will inform the appropriate digital platform to remote learning during and after C0V1D-I9.
